Who is Elia Caneppele?
In 2014, at the age of 24, I became one of the
founding partners of Windowo , an online store dedicated to window and door professionals. Since then, I've been working on the
growth of the e-commerce and online communications.
I share
content and information about the world of doors and windows for free, with the aim of helping those who need to choose, install or sell these products.

What does Elia Caneppele do?
Let me break the ice by telling you something about myself:
- I am a digital entrepreneur and I make my living thanks to the internet;
- I manage Windowo, the online shop for window products;
- I also write for Autismo.it, and in this article I'll tell you why.
My background is
classical . When it came time to leave the small village high school for university, I abandoned my beloved Homer.
After graduating in international economics at the
University of Verona, I approached the
technical hardware sector for windows and doors , thanks to the fact that my father was a wholesaler who had been operating in the same sector for decades.
In less than a year, I realized that the path I wanted to follow wasn't traditional sales. I felt my place lay elsewhere: in the world of
digital entrepreneurship , which at the time was still unclear to many.
So
I dove into online selling . And I'm still catching my breath.
Why create Windowo?
The Windowo online store opened in April 2014. A digital era ago: one could say in the “
Pleistocene ” of e-commerce.
The sector has changed a lot since then. And not only that: over the years, the way we understand what it means to be a digital entrepreneur has also changed.
I initially created Windowo to allow people to
purchase professional window and door accessories at affordable prices : technical products, often difficult to find, especially in small quantities.
I was the one who wrote the first product pages you find on the site today. At the time, almost no one was selling these items online. That's also why the first results started to come in.
What does Windowo mean to its founder today?
Today, simply selling isn't enough for me. Windowo remains, first and foremost, an online store where you can find
hardware ,
handles ,
mosquito nets , and many other accessories for doors and windows.
Over time, however, we have understood that people are not just looking for products:
they need clear information to make the right choices .
Before buying, it's important to understand what you really need to improve your home and live better. Only then can you decide what to buy.
This is why we have increasingly invested in
creating useful content about the world of doors and windows.
Why is content so important?
I've briefly told you my career story. Over the years, however, my life has changed in other important ways as well.
Today I am also the father of three children, who keep me at least as busy as managing Windowo.
I try to improve every day, learning from the mistakes and carelessness of the past.
As the founder of Windowo, it's no longer enough for me to offer you the best window and door brands and deliver them to your desired destination. I'd also like to help you guide your choices and
find concrete solutions to your door and window problems.
That's why I share Windowo content through various channels: product pages,
blogs , social media, YouTube, and podcasts. It's a constantly evolving ecosystem, with new projects to be added in the future.
This way I can
connect with people and build something useful, starting from real needs.
Every person I interact with lights a spark that renews my passion for this sector every day.
