ANAC, acronym for National Anti-Corruption Authority, is an independent body responsible for the prevention of corruption in all areas of administrative activity.

ANAC (National Anti-Corruption Authority) is an independent body established by the legislative decree of 14 March 2013, n. 33, in implementation of the law 6 November 2012, n. 190 and subsequent amendments and additions.

The mission of ANAC is to prevent corruption in the areas of administrative activity.

How to make a report to ANAC?

Reports can be sent via the online form available on the ANAC website. The reporting form is anonymous and allows you to provide information relating to alleged violations of the legislation on the prevention of corruption.

Once the report has been sent, ANAC will assess whether the conditions exist to start an investigation procedure. If elements of illegitimacy or irregularity are found, ANAC may intervene against the subjects involved.

Who controls the ANAC?

ANAC is chaired by Raffaele Cantone , appointed by the President of the Republic on the proposal of the Council of Ministers.

The Steering and Supervisory Committee (CIV) is the collegial body which, pursuant to article 13 of legislative decree no. 33 of 2013, carries out general orientation and coordination functions of the Authority's activities.

The CIV is made up of seven members, including the President of the Authority, designated by the President of the Republic on the proposal of the Council of Ministers.

The general secretariat is the support body for the president and the steering and supervision committee in the exercise of their functions.

ANAC also has a juridical-legislative commission.
